What does mirror move do
In Stadium, Mirror Move will copy multi-turn moves during either of the turns they take to execute. Additionally, the copied move will become its corresponding Z-Move. If the copied move is a status move , it will not receive its Z-Power effect. Mirror Move gives the user Mirror Move status, which causes all enemy moves targeting it to hit their users instead.
The user of Mirror Move will not be affected by returned enemy moves. Mirror Move does not return regular attacks, nor will it return moves if the user is not on an adjacent tile to the user of Mirror Move. Mirror Move lasts for turns. Images Audio. Moreover, you did not read my gameplan and it is to paralyze everything I see and gain the initiative, that way, Mew can come out safely and sweep.
S I am having trouble filling a spot on my team, should I choose Scyther or Slowbro? Scyther benefits from not being vulnerable to ground attacks to spoil the fun of people who count on Fissure to work and could use swift after swords dancing. Anyway your strategy works well if the person switches every time they get a status change. What if the person does not switch? Once your oponent is paralyzed it should remain fully paralyzed for at least 3 turns.
Next you take out Mew, Mew will have to use Swords Dance at least 3 times before getting that high, after 1 or two attacks with the type advantage and STAB and you would have to use Rest to avoid feinting. Right after using rest, one attack. Mew is still asleep: two attacks. You are relying on the battle strategy of your oponent being similar to what most people's are, and as a result you will only win against most people. Doesn't sound all that bad if you ask me, but you are extreemly vulnerable in some aspects - if your oponent should discover these vulnerabilities during battle you're as good as sunk.
Then again, what are the chances of that happening? Even if it does hit once, your oponent will probobly have already had such a beating that it will surely and unevidably feint within few moves. I'd stick with Scythor anyway, due to personal preference. Besides, If I see my pokemon is about to faint I will switch. Moreover, I am considering Softboiled over Rest on Mew. Jason, once my Mew is setup, there is little my opponent can do.
BP isn't a concern. And correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought stat modifiers ie, SD didn't affect confused pokemon kicking their own asses. I have yet to see any perfect, fool-proof, completely infallible strategy.
I've seen some darn good shit, but even the nastiest of death machines have their kryptonite. If you can come up with something that gives you the upper hand most of the time, then I'd say you got a good thing going. I have a LOT of personal experience with using a SD Mew as a sweeper, and although it does get foiled on occasion, it has served me well. Scyther dodges ground attacks, yes, but he gets his ass kicked by damn near every other element in the game.
He can deal some heavy damage if he has the time to soup himself up, but he doesn't really have the staying power to pull it off. Slowbro, on the other hand, is a tank and a half. As long as you watch out for the T-bolt Starmies, a Slowbro with Amnesia and either Surf or Psychic can dish the damage and hang around long enough to make a nice dent in the opponent's team. You should have a more balanced team. Scyther can dodge an Earthquake but can't dodge a Rockslide which annihilates it with 4X damage.
My philosophy is that I should have a gameplan of course with plan B and some redundancy and all my pokemon should fit into it, however, all of my pokemon should be able to take out at least one popular pokemon one on one. That is why I abandoned Farfetched it never worked and was too weak to take on anything. Slowbro is a ramming machine. I am so lame, I have 4 psychics now!
My team might qualify for a distinction of being a themed team. Confusion Read number 4. As for heavily relying on Mew, everyone has their favorite way of winning. The only time I switch out Gengar against anything that isn't a Ground type is if I'm worrying about a Thunder Wave wrecking its usefulness entirely.
B Lapras can learn Confuse Ray as well. Although not as common as Starmie, it's still something to worry about. Such as using Bog Standard Mewtwo. Not as cheap as Mewtwo, but definately more cheap than the Leggy birds.
Holy shit! I coulda sworn stat mods didn't play into it. How odd. Thanks for setting me straight. If a non ch psychic does not kill it so what? Are you going to take that risk? Maximum it could do is confuse ray, but the damage it would sustain in the process is not worth it.
Most common Mew setup sux completely when dealing with Aerodactyl. I take hyperbeam over swift for instant sweep, it can miss, but if it does not, it is an instant kill in most cases. Even if my Gangsta sweeping Mew takes only 2 of opponents pokemon without dying that is a guaranteed win for me.
Mew is not cheap. Mew is anything you make it to be. In that way it is just like ditto. None of its stats shine especially bright. A special? Lots of pokemon have that and more. Same with attack and defense. Its HP are a little bit high but nothing compared to Snorlax and Chansey. I tell you another question: Would an Amnesia wielding Slowbro be cheaper than my Mew? Mew gets powerful once it gets set up ie three swords dances same with Slowbro. Granted, a Razorleaf or a Focus Energy Jolteon would blow it out of the water literally but that is not too many weaknesses.
S Lapras is not a problem because it is slower than Mew. If I have any luck it would get killed by a Hyper Beam before it even says "Hello". Nothing too amazing, but good. However, because it has all round good stats and is psychic it has no weaknesses which can be utilised in a battle. Chansey, however, does have amazing HP and good special but it has incredibly weak defense and slow speed making it vulnerable to many things. Snorlax has HP and attack but is joint slowest in the game, making it more vulnerable.
Let's face it, without amnesia Snorlax's popularity would be limited to underused battles. Secondly, Mew can learn shit loads of TMs etc, meaning that it can pick from a wide variety of excellent movesets Mew doesn't have this problem. Have you seen Aerodactly's Defense? Even though Swift is "not very effective" with 3 Swords Dances, you'll still knock out Aero in 2 or 3 turns.
Cuz with the growing number of proficient Sharkers, it's damn near impossible to tell which Mews are legit and which ones aren't. Cuz Nintendo has gone out of their way to hype Mew and glorify the hell out of her. If Slowbro or Chansey or Snorlax were the super secret st pokemon that you had to win as a special prize from Nintendo, then Slowbro or Chansey or Snorlax would be the ones getting banned left and right and smacked with 00ber status. This has no relevance whatsoever. I'm not sure who he's been battling, but I'll assume it's mostly standard non-uber teams played by people who have some clue of what they're doing.
This proves that Mew is uber, if the reason he's been winning is because they don't use it. This move can't be used. It's recommended that this move is forgotten. Once forgotten, this move can't be remembered. Tapu Koko. Water 1. The user gains the Mirror Move status. Any move used against the user is countered with the same move. MD GtI. Sigilyph; using Thunderbolt.
Pom-Pom Style Oricorio; using Tackle. The user waits for the opponent to make a move. It then copies the opponent's attack. After the opponent's attack, Sigilyph creates a black portal outlined in white in front of itself, and fires the same attack back at the opponent from it. A wild Sigilyph. Explorers of the Hero's Ruin! Pom-Pom Style Oricorio copies the opponent's attack. Pikamaster Active Member. My max attack adamant nature metagross no attack boosting item failed to do kill it in one hit with a meteor mash, then failed with a bullet punch.
Sure it has trouble against steel and couldn't do much to me, but it still can take a few hits. And IMO a thunder from pidgeot wouldn't do much to a kyogre. It has bad SA and kyogre has good SD. Going against kyogre with pidgeot is just one of those things you want to avoid. But anyways, if you're going to have mirror move, you might want to replace leichi berry with starf.
Sure it any stat and it's random, but mirror move let's you use SA, which would be boosted to I will have a legit one for trade, and I do lack a leichi berry Last edited: Jan 3, It lost sky attack? Well my understanding of mirror move as I've used it with Fearow Was indeed that you had to use it after the other pokemon attacked. Hence the focus band suggestion. Hey vappy, are you ever gonna pay me back for training that male starvia with brave bird that I gave you?
Don't you have shoddy? However, zapdos seems like the best choice to give heat wave, and ominous wind just isn't good. Pidgeot's special attack is really bad. It's not even good with choice specs, modest nature and sp. Pikamaster's bad pun actually had significant meaning.
