On the other hand, with Profile Manager from OS X Server updates can be pushed over the internet and each iPad will automatically update itself the next time it's connected to the internet. I had tried it with 47, so I knew i could do more than 30 but didnt know if there was some other hard limit. Using one laptop means I dfon't have to split up the VPP code sheets and I can just create groups and apply apps that way.

Yes I use one laptop for several Ipad carts. Since all the ipads are configed alike, just make sure when you snyc the apps that you need,you check the apps for each cart.
